Alaska Cadastral Initiative
The Alaska Cadastral Initiative is a joint effort between the Alaska Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management for improving cadastral record sharing in Alaska. Other State and Federal agencies, Boroughs, Native Corporations and private entities have also joined in this effort.

Cadastral Subcomittee Meeting (10/27/2010)
The cadastral subcommittee met on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 to discuss the current state of the Alaska Cadastral Initiative and future plans. Participants also provided updates. Planned Presentation at ASMC (02/23/2011)
The cadastral subcommittee has obtained a slot and will be meeting at the Anchorage Surveying and Mapping Conference (ASMC) in the section focusing on "GIS Jam Events". The topic is "The Collective Alaska Cadastral Parcels" and is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23, 2011 (3:30pm – 5:30pm). Frank Wallis will deliver a presentation followed by a discussion of needs, interests and ideas which should be beneficial in improving future service. Current participants and those interested in Alaska land information are encouraged to attend. Additional details are available at the conference website.
